I fell in love with the opening track on this album the first time I heard it. The combination of folk and sometimes dark romanticism reminds me of the joy of studying 19th century literature many years ago.

Wonderful album. I love the departure from your usual sound. I'm fully in love with the first half of the album and kinda wish the second half was a bit louder/faster. And I must say, only Sooj could somehow get me to like an EDM/dub step song.

Portals is an apt name. Sharon doesn't make music, so much as sonic worlds the listener is transported to. I close my eyes when Crimson Masquerade plays & I see the story play out. I see flashes of other lives & a rouge offering a woman the chance to live adventures untold.... If she's willing to pay the cost. " Let the Waters Rise" feels like a command coming from witches working their will.
